School Meals

We are really excited to be providing the school meals at St Andrew & St Francis School.

We are caterers within schools that are passionate about fresh, healthy food that tastes great. The right nutrients can affect everyone’s mood, behaviour, health, growth and even their ability to concentrate. Encouraging a well-balanced diet establishes healthy eating now and can establish healthy eating habits at a young age to give them knowledge for the future.

We understand primary school children and their likes and dislikes, so we tailor our menus to encourage maximum uptake. Our Head Chef at St Andrew & St Francis, works alongside the School Food Ambassadors empowering them to help shape the menu and providing home dishes and recipe ideas that then make their way on to the menu.

We have implemented our own Fresh Food Policy throughout our business which sets out our expectations and minimum requirements to meet the daily nutritional needs of the students and staff for whom we cater.

We are committed to using sourcing ingredients with assured provenance from local and regional suppliers in every kitchen we work in. We use produce with high standards of animal welfare – for example, RSPCA Freedom Food Free Range Eggs, Marine Stewardship Approved (MSC) fish and a fairtrade bananas.

All of the food is cooked daily on site by our friendly staff and children have a range of healthy cooked options to choose from each day along with fresh salads.

Theme Days

On these days special menus are created by using feedback from the school council and knowledge from the chefs who have been doing a fantastic job cooking for the children.

These theme days allow for the children to try new and exciting foods that are not currently on the menu.
